West Bath, were endangered by fire Thursday afternoon and the wood shed was destroyed while several other out buildings were saved only by the hardest kind of work. Mr. and Mrs. Sprague were away at the time and only four of their eight children were at home, the oldest of whom is 11 years. Neighbors telephoned the alarm.
