Enters HoosGeorgetown High School, in the third year of “fielding” a track and field team, is entered in the Hoosier relays at Bloomington Saturday.Coach Jack Johnson, in his third year as Georgetown track coach, has commented on prospects:“This is the third year for track and field at Georgetown aAd shows promise of being our best. Most of our first team three years ago was composed of freshmen and sophomores and these boys have now matured into competent junior and senior performers. We lost three lettermen from last year’s squad who contributed significantly — middle distance runners Don Spaulding and Frank Terry and pole vaulter James Wright. These areas will be our weak spots in 1967.“Our top performers should be:“Seniors Jim Sturgeon and Roger Nash — two year hurdle lettermen.--lt;9“Senior Lenne Keithley who holds part of 5 school records — the 100, 220, high jump, broad jump, and 880 relay. Keithley also throws the shot and should toss it 42’ this year.“Junior Tim Colligan — distance performer who ran 10:28 as sophomore two miler last year. Colligan is in excellent early season condition and is shooting for a sub 10 minute two mile.Sophomore Greg McCurdy — sophomore sprinter who ran a54.7440 yard dash last year as afreshman.”The schedule includes:Mar.28at Jeffersonville4:00Mar.31at New Albany4:00Apr.4at Clarksville4:00Apr.7at South Central4:00Apr.11at Providence lt;4:00Apr.15New Albany Relays 2:00Apr.18at Charlestown4:00Apr.21W.
