There were no knockdowns, but Salvadore had far the better of the going after the first two rounds,John Galiano -of Beaumont, state boxing inspector, who was called on to referee when opposing factions failed to agree on an official, gave seven rounds to Salvadors, the first two to Cox and called the seventh even. One judge gave Ealvadorc eight rounds and Cox two. while the other gave all 10 rounds to the Houston boy.It was Salvadore’s relentless close-range, body attack that won- He warmed up slowly as Cox appeared to have a slight edge on aggressiveness in the first two rounds-After that Coxf who missed badly throughout the bout, could find little defense for the oncoming Sal-vadore, who beat dark red circjes around the sides of Tracy's body. Cox suffered a cut over his right eye in the seventh but it didn’t bleed enough to bother him.Cox looked like Ills old self only in the sixth, and seventh. His short sixth round attack failed to halt Salvadore, but he set his opponent back on his heels with a left hook just before the bell ending the seventh.
