Kaskaskia Pins 7 00-52 Loss On Rend WarriorsBy BOB KELLEYKaskaskia’s towering college quintet completely dominated the boards last night to chalk up an easy, 100-52, decision over the local Rend Lake Warriors in Vemois Gym.The loss dropped the host’s slate to an overall 1-16 mark for the current season.Several eye-popping scoring thrusts from Larry Stonecipher late in the game provided the Rend Lakers with their lone point-maker in double figures.Stonecipher finished with 17 tallies, Gary Burzynski and Steve Sledge connected for 8 apiece, Ed Johnson had 5, George Morgan, 4, Joe Norris,4, Mark Maline, 3, and Steve Chapman, 3.Thursday, the Warriors once again take the home court advantage when Belleville will provide the opposition.
