ALEX TO GROW WHISKERSFormer Big League Star to Pitch for House of David Team.DAVENPORT. Iowa. January 16 (A). —Grover Cleveland Alexander will play semi-pro base ball with the House of David team again next Summer.Ray Doan, manager of the House of David nine, said today he had received Alex’s signed contract from Catalina Island, where he is on vacation.The team wTill begin training March 20 at Augusta, Ga., or Asheville, N. C., Doan said.
