Brief ad-iidresses were made b L. J. Tuckerof Pardeeville, who was instrumentalin organizing the new association.; and by J. H. Wells of Portage, theveteran skip of the “Crusaders,” who won high honors at the Northwestern | Curling honspiel years ago. J. E. Jones of Portage also spoke on the value of the new assoication and the stimulating effect It would have upon the game in the state. It was decided to have the first annual bon-spiel, in the city of Portage, the lastweek in January or the first week inFebruary next. The officers of the new association were elected as follows:President—I.. J. Tucker, Pardeeville, Wis.First vice president—H. F. Schemmel, Cambria, Wis.Second vice-president—Guy V.Doering, Columbus, Wis.Secretary and treasurer—FrankRhyme, Portage, Wis.Executive committee—Gab McMil-lan, Arlington, Wis.; William Mi-Knzie, Poynette, Wis.; George Reed ai, Phillips, Wis.; George Mariott,Baraboo. Wis ; J. (' Wall, Milwaukee; William Leach, Endeavor, Wis. Offical umniro—William Roohm,Portage. Wis.Committees will be apiiointed to arrange for the annual bonpiel ofthe new association, and it is probable that there will be three main events, a ad a consolation. Fine trophies and prizes will be offered ineach event. The organization desires every club in the state to be me members and it Is hoped to enroll teh local organizations at Milwaukee, Baraboo, Endeavor, Mansion, Phillips and other places.The state curling bonsplel will come to a close today.
