“Battler” Enters Ring in 60 Days.Chicago, Jan. 28.—Battling Nelson, lightweight champion of the world, will fight and within the next sixty days. The Hegewisch scrapper, now on a theatrical tour through the south, wired from Huntington, W. Va., and made the positive statement that he would battle as soon as he reached California to arrange some matches. The battler does not say whether it will be Freddie Welsh, Packey McFarland, or Johnny Thompson that he will take on. first.
