Eagle wrestlers winEOWL tournament .Tisone (155 Boardman),5'HUBBARD - For the second year in a row the Hubbard Eagle grapplers have hosted and won the Eastern Ohio Wrestling League tournament.Dave Higham, wrestling in the heavy-weight class, and Kent Kelly 175) were the only Hubbard matmen to win a first place position, but six other Hubbard wrestlers took second place honors.The tournament is decided on total team points and Hubbard was the decisive leader with 157,with Liberty capturing second place with 132 and Boardman claiming third with 111.The first place winners, with their weight class and school in parantehsis are as follows:Jim Wakefield (98 Canfield), Doug Brown (105 Liberty), Dom Mancini (112 Boardman), Jim Glass (119 Liberty), Jim DiPietro (126 Boardman), Jeff Kraynak (132 Iuberty), Troy Morris (138 Warren Western Reserve i, Erik Blake (145 Warren Harding), JoeMelvin Sauder (167 Canfield), Kent Kelly (175 Hubbard), Mike Marek (185 Brookfield) and Dave Higham iHwt Hubbard).,Hubbard's second place finishers were Brian Maurer (105) Greg Fasnacht (119), Tony Tarr (138), Paul Phibbs (155), Tony DiTomasso (167) and Greg Swessy (185).The Eagle grapplers are coached this year by veteran coach Richard Wince and first year assistant Tim Hopkmson.
