Lamar Tech Wins Tangerine BowlORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Lamar Tech of Beaumont, Texas, is 3961 Tangerine Bowl football champion at the expense of Middle Tennessee, 21-14, after a game that drew 6,000 spectators despite near-freezing temperatures.Quarterback Win Herbert went 52 yards in the first period for a touchdown that put Lamar Tech ahead 7-0. The Cardinals got another TD in the second quarter when guard Lindley King fell on a ball that bounced wild in the end zone after a kick that fell short on the Middle Tennessee goal.Middle Tennessee countered in the 3rd on a 32-yard pass from Quarterback Jerry Pearson to End George Dykes. The Tennesseeans fell behind 21-6 in the 4th period when Lamar moved 55 yards downfield after a kickoff, but scored another touchdown on a 1-yard run by Pearson.
