From ThomasvilleLomax Named To AII-CC Grid TeamWINSTON-SALEM (AP) -Two record-setting offensive players and an All-America defensive guard are unanimous choices for the Carolinas Conference a 11 -conference football team this season.Fullback Wayne Bell and defensive guard Ed Joyner, both of Lenoir Rhyne, and offensive end Henry McKay received the maximum of eight votes in the balloting by coaches for the official all-conference team.Bell, a senior from Raleigh who was plagued by injuries last season, led the conference in scoring with % points and in rushing with 100.3 yards a game.Joyner was the mostvaluable lineman in the conference last season and was also first team NAIA All-America. He was thedefensive leader for Lenoir Rhyne’s defense which ranked first in the league.McKay set conference records for passes caught and yards gained on passreceptions, both of which he had set last season.
