fHUNDREDS ATTEND ELKSOUTING AT SPRINGFIELDNearly one thousand persons were in attendance at the Canton-Massll-Ion Elks* picnic held at Springfieldlake Wednesday afternoon.The baseball game between the Canton and Massillon Elks began atspent on the lake shore where a fireworks display was given. Local Elks stated that this was one of the most elaborate exhibitions of fireworks ever displayed in the city.:30 o'clock and was won by theElks from Canton. The Massillon Elks staged a “come-back when they won the tug-o-war from the Cantonians.Detailed results of the various contests are as follows: boys' toot-raee —won by Donald Lose of Massillen; girls’ foot-race—won by Miss Meck-lin of Canton; girls* free-for-all-race —Miss Evelyn Wallace of Massillon; chicken chase—Mrs. A. W. Wein-worth of Canton; balloon race—Mrs. C. A.
