Men Do at PennEARL WIDMYER of Maryland, second in the 100-yard dash; a fourth place for the Old Line relay team and a runner-up positionIn the 3,000-meter steeplechase for Edgar Lee. former Armstrong High and Twelfth Street Y. M. C. A. athlete. were all the honors gained by local entrants in the Penn relay carnival at Philadelphia yesterday.Widmyer lost to Hardy of Cornell in a blanket race, run in 9.9, while the Terp quartet was in much the same finish in one of the most interesting mile events that was won by Western Teachers in 3:23.3.A1 Kelly, after winning his heat in the 100, was eliminated when he pulled a muscle in his leg in the semi-finals. Georgetown failed to place in half-mile varsity and mile freshmen relay events.
