Singleton Entertainment Honors Mr. Brown with Varied Talent
A testimonial night at Singleton Mechanics Institute features a choir and band under D McKay, soloists J Gates and J Brown, and the Village Choristers. Guests applaud Miss Theobald, Mr. Hortop, and Mr. Gould as they honor J Lyne Brown for long service and present him with a sovereign purse. The program includes excerpts from Erani and a comic opera The Diamond, ending with thanks to the committee and remarks on the institute’s history and gifts from supporters.
