Enterprise Mine Makes Winter Preparations at Ten Mile

At the Enterprise mine on Ten Mile creek new accommodations for 76 men have been completed. An ore house and track from No. 9 tunnel to the road are finished, the wagon road to Ten Mile Landing repaired, and a small crew works outside to ready for winter. The mine is among the best developed in the district and critics say it should remain open.

Bosun Mine Builds Housing as Operations Near Boom

At tHe Bosun mine in the Gilverton district a 24 by 44 foot lean-to boarding house is near completion to house 60 workers. The mine plans include expanded operations with a private dock, and ore shipments this year total 580 tons netting $70 per ton. Wakefield tramway cables arrive with a 6350 foot 14 inch thick main run weighing 11600 pounds.
