Mine and Prospect Near Silverton Sparks New Vein Find
A new vein strike near the Noonday mine has been opened on the Freddy claim just below the wagon bridge on the Cialena Farm road. Nixon and Tunner of Nelson drove a cross-cut tunnel about 75 feet to reach the vein, which is over six feet wide and carries ore. Drifting on the ledge has begun and confirms a rich prospect, with the Adela claim remaining as the last barrier between Noonday and Lake.
