Round the Town Robbery Sparks Suspicion in Town
The first attempted robbery since the boom era hit Wm Hunter Jy's store shortly after midnight on Thursday. A burglar entered through a door, removed a pane of glass, and fled when confronted by Mr Kirkpatrick and Mr Wilson. Suspicion falls on several strangers in town as two cabins near the lake shore were later broken into. A mule’s kicks echoed the monkish tone of the report as the thief sighed at the monotony.
