Shipments Report From Lake Mines This Week
One hundred forty tons total arm shipments from the Lake last week. The Enterprise Mine at Ten Mile sent out 80 tons from Enterprise Landing, a well developed property positioned for large steady shipments when the line restarts. Friday's output was 60 tons from the Nounday mine at Silverton, the sole active shipper there, continuing through the lockout and earning profits for owners while others shut down amid political sympathy.

Miners Imported From Sudbury Join Strikers at Ymir
The Newton District Miners Association imported eleven Sudbury miners on a six month contract to the Ymir mine. After less than a week all but two joined the strike. Noonday Mine described near Silverton in Slocan district
The Noonday mine near Silverton sits one mile from town at about 800 feet above the lake on the Galena Farm Flats adjoining the Galena Mines Group. J M Benedum and partners bought a $55,000 bond, explored a tunnel, and opened a ledge 6 to 8 feet wide with pay streaks from 18 inches to 5 feet. The ore is rich, carrying silver, zinc, copper, and native silver, with shipments of 449 tons of clean ore already sent and substantial concentrating ore on the dump.
