Paradoxical Engine Patent For Hydrostatic Power Device
On February 28 Letters Patent were granted to John Lue cock Woolllapler of Morley near Leeds for a hydrostatic machine to produce great mechanical power without fire or water. The device can drive engines via cylinder and piston or substitutes, using injection and eduction pipes to create pressure. Variants differ in the relative lengths of these pipes.
