Lady golfers celebrate a successful Russell Ladies year
Rain shortened events but spirits stayed high at the Russell Ladies Golf Club wind up on September 17. Val Brown and Enid Parasiuk organized games by Stapleton scoring, followed by social time in the clubhouse. Ivy Brown led a heated but cordial annual meeting, presenting officers for 1996 with Phyllis MacGranacan as president. The season closed with the planned Fashion Show on November 10 and a busy August–September match play results list, awards, and jokes from Leslie Nielsen.
