Manitoba Health and sponsors host a two day workshop in Winnipeg October 26 27 to teach needs assessment and planning for the new regional health authorities. Advisory Council Ready for Action at Major Pratt School
In a 640 student community only 32 attended the public meeting to form the Advisory Council for school leadership under Manitoba New Directions. Elected were Dale Stewart Margie Derkach Shirley Dunn Cindi McMurray Jean Chuckree Deane Perrin Ann MacIsaac and Ryan Reston with Kerri Chescu and Raylene Mushumanski sharing the presidency to alternate roles. The council will help craft the annual school plan and budget proposal and will communicate with parents and the wider community. An ex officio option was offered to four unselected nominees, most declining. The first ACSL meeting is set for September 28.
