Manitoba Allows Two-Trailer Hauling Under New Act
Highways Minister John Plohman announced an amendment to the Highway Traffic Act permitting a vehicle with a fifth wheel hitch to haul two trailers. Previously only one trailer was allowed. The change responds to Manitobans and out of province tourists, enabling simultaneous towing of a camping trailer and a boat trailer. The fifth wheel hitch distributes trailer weight over the vehicle’s driving wheels.
