Regina Sheldon Reynolds and Grant Town, former physical education teacher at Major Pratt School in 1967 68, now of Winnipeg, earned trips to the Boston Marathon by tying for top spot at the Regina Molsons Golden Mile Marathon. Identical finish time of two hours 30 minutes 17 seconds. Jim Nadler of the Manitoba Runners Association was third with 2 38 58. Reg Hoogervorst and Greg Germain tied for top in the 28 km event. Jim Feathers won the 14 km race.
