UGG Site Launch Starts Heavy Construction in Shoal Lake
At the United Grain Growers high through put elevator site near the Yellowhead Highway, heavy equipment roars as earthwork begins. Ground work aims to finish by October with concrete elevator construction possible this fall subject to weather and schedule. Rural Development provides 25000 for a rural youth job program and Manitoba Education funds near 225000 for Youth Infoworks wage incentives. CAP sites number ten in Manitoba and the Youth Employment Program began in 1997 98 to hire students seasonally.
