Inglis elevators saved by Heritage Committee deal
Inglis Heritage Committee Inc and Unit Grain Growers Ltd closed a deal for UGG’s three vintage wooden grain elevators with a one dollar transfer. UGG contributed 18000 to start a capital fund, held in trust until fundraising reaches targets for restoration. The row, dating from 1920-25, is a National Historic Site and a key Canadian agriculture symbol awaiting restoration and corporate sponsorship.
