The court of revision for the General assessment roll of the Town of Russell will not be held on Thursday October 6. The date was set at the August 10 council and the September 28 meeting will be cancelled. Accounts passed for one payment totalled 798.14 dollars. The Bethany Lutheran church was relocated from Freefield to a new site in Inglis moved by H Fenske and Sons of Regina. Congregation members attended a service and prayers preceded the 4 pm arrival and rolling of the structure to a new foundation. Services continue Sundays at 10:30 with Sunday School after. Louis Berthalet, a Russell baseball star and Royal Bank banker, was honored before his departure to Churchill and transfer to Manitoba.

William P Stewart Dies At Endcliffe
William Pryde Stewart 64 died at his Endcliffe home on Friday after a two year illness. Funeral at Knox United Church Russell with Rev W S MacDonald officiating. Interment at Russell cemetery. Born Dalkeith Scotland August 25 1886 he worked as a coal miner before emigrating to Canada March 18 1920 settling on a farm in the Eadcliffe district. Life member of the Dalkeith Masonic Lodge. Survived by widow and seven children Andrew Eadcliffe William Russell Mrs Reg Williams Winnipeg Robert Gordon Minniska district Donald RCN Victoria RC Norman at home.
