Assiniboine RHA Board Highlights August 2005 Meeting
The Assiniboine Regional Health Authority board met August 17 2005 in Souris noting updates on First Nation addiction treatment planning nursing and physician resources and a revised 2005/06 budget showing a 5 1 million shortfall. The board approved an acute rehabilitation program at Riverdale Health Centre pending funding and discussed Parkland Regional Development Corporation grants and regional economic projects. The next meeting is September 21 2005 in Shoal Lake.

Regional grants boost three-municipality projects
Regional marketing and research programs require at least three municipalities and matching funds. So far $37,950 has been awarded to four projects under the AMELade ANG priority area. Recipients include Swan Valley Enterprise Centre, Asessippi Parkland EDC, Economic Development Dauphin, and Asessippi Parkland Tourism. Interested groups should contact their local municipality for guidelines and forms.
