Rangers hold intrasquad as Caplan eyes new faces
About 30 players hit the ice at Credit Union Place Dauphin hoping to catch Parkland Rangers coach Arnie Caplan's eye. Team White won 6-5 in a shootout after a back and forth game with goals from Hrechka Brash Boguski Gray and Betcher. Caplan praised the overall effort and noted some players were out of shape during testing. The Rangers open preseason with a home and away against the Yorkton Maulers Sept 5 and Sept 12 with a late September tournament in Souris. Former Ranger Darrin Chrisp and Tyler Derkach assisted. Caplan seeks a new assistant coach.
