Canadian volunteers aid Dominican Republic trip for youth charity
A Canadian mission by Absolute Leadership Development sent about 100 volunteers to Sosua and Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. The group built homes, a kitchen, a school room, organized a sports camp, assisted in a garbage dump and an orphanage, and visited villages while sharing a message of value and purpose with local children. The writer recounts emotional experiences, language barriers, a fraud incident with an ATM, and praises the trip as safe and inspiring for youth and adults. The article will appear in Hearts of the Country in September.
