Ranchers Choice plans to open slaughter house in Dauphin
Manitoba beef producers group Ranchers Choice pursues a cow slaughter plant in Dauphin replying to tight financing and beef market gaps. The meeting draws 250 farmers as Dauphin provides land, sewer and water, with dealers like Ag West Portage la Prairie and Sydor Dauphin contributing funds while owner-operators push for a 16 million project supported by farmer equity.
