Yellowhead highway work approved for summer start

Manitoba Transportation will begin Yellowhead highway work this summer between Binscarth and Russell after years of lobbying. The plan includes partial paved shoulders of 0.8 meters instead of full three meter shoulders, sparking concerns from Russell officials and the local association. Phase two aims to add the remaining shoulder width within a few years, with studies underway on the curve near Tre valley to assess potential changes for safer travel.
