Foxwarren District News Highlights Family Visits and Local Events
Doug Elder escorted his mother Margaret Elder to Winnipeg for a five day visit and attended the 60th wedding anniversary of Charlie and Stella Bulloch with relatives Harold and Peggy Cliff of Victoria. The group toured Riding Mountain National Park and Clear Lake and included Terry Elder’s relatives from England and California. Well wishes go to Murray Pizzey in Birtle hospital. Foxwarren and Killarney visitors join locals for charity events and concerts featuring the Foxwarren Ladies Ensemble at Brandon’s City Hall to raise funds for Alzheimer’s. The 6th Annual Threshing Day on Jim Hamilton’s farm drew about 75 locals with four acres threshed and rides offered by Betty Snyder, plus rope making demonstrations. A note on travel details and a closing adage about loving company.
