Joyce Munro obituary notes wartime marriage and long regional life
Joyce Munro born November 19 1921 in Manchester England died September 9 2016 at Russell Health Centre. She married Ken Munro June 18 1945 in Manchester and followed him to Canada. The couple lived in Neepawa Bowsman Benito Flin Flon Melfort Atikokan before settling in Russell in 1959. A longtime SPCA volunteer in Brandon and Russell she supported animal welfare and helped homes for strays. She leaves Ken and children Jan and John with grandchildren and great grandchildren. Interment was at Neepawa Riverside Cemetery September 17 2016 with donations to Expanding Community Cancer Care in Russell.
