GM Re-Styled Oldsmobile Lines Drive 1969 Upgrades
General Motors unveils 1969 Oldsmobile redesigns highlighting safety upgrades for the Delta 88 family. Enhanced features include reinforced windshield pillars, new shoulder belt buckles, front seat head restraints, and a redesigned energy absorbing steering column. Wheelbases extend by one inch. models gain longer hoods, trunks, and improved interiors. The Delta 88, Delta 88 Custom, and new Delta 88 hardtop coupe receive these changes. The Toronado is lengthened 3 percent with a redesigned rear end.
