Palliative Care Unit Volunteers Help at Russell Hospital
Susan Pound coordinates a community driven palliative care program at Russell District Hospital now in its third year. The nine to twelve week volunteer orientation starts Oct 17 at Russell Health Centre with eight sessions on death and dying listening comfort measures loss and bereavement. Minimum five participants needed with Oct 12 deadline. volunteers assist families and coordinate fundraisers like Memory Tree and Beef and Barley raffle events.
