Sold out benefit aids Caitlin Arksey Trust in Dauphin

A Parkland community event drew 750 supporters for Caitlin Arksey a 15 year old in Dauphin facing cancer. Proceeds from a dinner auction and children's games totaled about 20000 for the Caitlin Arksey Trust as Parkland Panthers and Parkland Rangers hockey teams donated and played in her honor.

Panthers beat Team Westman as Caitlin Arksey Trust fundraiser

Parkland Panthers female midget hockey team won 5-2 over Team Westman in Dauphin led by Kristen Russell who scored twice with two assists. The game supported the Caitlin Arksey Trust Fund and was delayed when the scoreboard clock failed. Russell expects the Panthers to challenge for first in the Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League North division despite the early-season sloppy play.
