Wetland project near Binscarth aids water, wildlife dignity
Les Reagh's pasture east of Binscarth Manitoba hosts a Ducks Unlimited Canada wetland built in the 1960s. The two cell system improved water storage, reduced flooding and supported wildlife, but 2011 spring floods showed aging infrastructure. DNCC and local conservation district upgraded the system by naturalizing the embankment and redirecting flows to the creek bed.
