Walk for MS in Russell raises over five thousand

About 19 walkers in Russell for the 2007 Parkland Chapter event raised 5709 for Multiple Sclerosis. Curtis Zeitch of Langenburg led donations with 3230 as part of Tim's Team. Coordinator Tracie Orisko urged a local coordinator and committee for next year.

Parkland Chapter Drives MS Awareness Month Effort

In May the Parkland Chapter and others of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada promote MS Awareness Month. Since 1996 the Parkland Chapter serves MS patients and families across Manitoba, boasting 309 members and 200 volunteers in programs from Pathways to Yoga to Tele-Health, Walks, and Bike Tours. The chapter last year raised 150000 dollars to fund services and national MS research.
