Foxwarren Leisure Centre notes and community events

Canvassers collect Donor's Choice kits at the Leisure Centre with a March deadline to return via Joan McTavish or Joan Reid. March meeting reports show 20 members present with 336 meals served by 20 volunteers. Announcements include bingo license, upcoming events, a St Patrick celebration, a Whist Tournament, a regional Pool Tournament, and a large Foxwarren Figure Skating Club ice show with multiple CanSkate groups and guest skaters.

Binscarth Lions honor district leader with dinner tribute

The Binscarth Lions welcomed District Governor Willie Brown and Lion Gillies at a dinner honoring the district leader. Hope Medallions were presented to Bill Thompson Percy Miller Ed Slychuk Roy Graham, with Eric Ireland unable to attend. The group donated toward Infant Screening Lions Hearing Foundation and presented a club banner to Lilliss and new member Herb Gillies. Frances Hutton reports.
