Manitoba funds Triple P program to aid parents
Manitoba will invest 1.4 million in a community driven program to help parents of young children gain parenting knowledge. Healthy Living Minister Theresa Oswald and Family Services Minister Christine Melnick say the Triple P Parenting Program will be delivered by community organizations with regional health authorities involved. The initiative aims to strengthen parents’ skills and confidence, support nurturing environments, and promote child development, backed by multiple provincial departments and Canada’s 26.5 million transfer for 2005-06.
