Russell Relay for Life 2008 to Boost Cancer Fight
The Canadian Cancer Society reports Russell and Area's first Relay for Life drew more than 200 walkers for a 12 hour event at Millennium Park. Organizers expect a May 9 relay with survivor lap at 7 pm and a 7 am wrap. teams of ten form the backbone with prizes for best costumes and area sponsorship. Funds from 2007 totaled 46000 for Manitoba research.
