Park West School Division to raise levy amid funding gaps
Park West School Division plans a levy increase as provincial financing shifts. With the removal of the TIG two percent guarantee, the division faces about a half million dollars shortfall. Staffing costs rise by roughly 232,500 with three teachers added for prep time. Programs Enrichment and Assets see $50,000 cuts as districts adjust. Home, business and farmland assessments all climb.
