Shellmouth Dam raises outflow to reduce spring flooding
Manitoba Conservation increased Shellmouth Reservoir outflows to 1 000 cubic feet per second the highest winter rate since 1995 to expand capacity for runoff and lessen flood risk from Shellmouth to Brandon this spring. River levels are expected to rise about one foot downstream to Russell as ice remains.
