Local sustainable food system workshop at Riding Mountain Reserve
A diverse group gathered at a Riding Mountain Biosphere Reserve workshop led by Jackie Avent and Julia Laforge to sketch a regional sustainable food system. They planned a virtual marketplace, education, and recruitment, stressing inclusive participation by producers, marketers, restaurants, retailers, and residents across several municipalities and First Nations. Community involvement and future meetings set for March invite ideas and participation.
