Burgess Funeral Held in Provost District
The funeral of the late Mr and Mrs Burgess of Provost Alta was held at his son's home in Angusville after a service conducted by Rev F Chapman. Burgess died at Provost Saturday aged 76 and is survived by his widow, a daughter Mrs Vandecar, and three sons Arthur William and Frank. Interment at Seeburn cemetery. The note asks sympathy to the family and recalls his 1882 arrival and role as Methodist circuit steward.

Binscarth bonspiel crowns winners in multiple events

Forage Crop Car visit and rural meetings announced
The Russell Agricultural Society and Manitoba Cooperative organize a forage crop car stop at the C N R station March 20 from 5 to 7 pm with a 7 pm lecture on forage crops. Seed sales require prior grading by the Dominion Seed Branch. Poultry and Egg Marketing will be discussed by Mr Landreth of the Manitoba Cooperative Egg Marketing Association. A Russell Clydesdale Improvement delegation plans to select a top stallion, with a directors meeting set for Saturday at 3 pm.

Obituary: William Gladstone Robb 84 in Russell district
William Gladstone Robb aged 84 years 10 months died Thursday after months of illness. Born April 13 1840 in Wingatefoot Scotland he moved from Russell to Bowsman Manitoba in 1907 then returned to Russell in 1915 to live with daughter Mrs. Chas Tennant. Survived by daughter, son Robert M Robb, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral Saturday at Russell cemetery conducted by Rev F C Middleton with pallbearers A L Nervilla F&F Cromwell H Gillespie Jas Man Mather and J Tennant.
