Neighbors hear nothing after pellet incident near seniors complex
Constable Brad Patterson said no homes were damaged and no neighbors reported hearing or seeing anything. The pellet likely was fired by someone on foot rather than from a vehicle. Nearby residents welcomed new livestock proposal after a June 15 conditional use hearing attended by about 40 people. Hytek Incorporated plans a hog operation two and a half miles north of Ninga with four barns housing 2,600 hogs each and an earthen manure storage system. The company is based in LaBroguerie and will establish an office in Killamye.
