Boulton Manor to Celebrate 100th Birthday

The present owners Linda and Ward Tweet host a public tea on July 16 during the town Year of The Family celebration to mark the 100th birthday of Boulton Manor. Major Boulton, an early settler, led mounted infantry during the 1885 Rebellion and was later granted land in Brightside for his services.

Major Pratt High marks 49 graduates at district center

The Russell and District Community Centre hosted the June 23 celebration for 49 Major Pratt High School graduates. Stan Furman served as master of ceremonies while Jayme Chuchmuch delivered the valedictory and received the Governor General's Award. Other awards included the Merril Kiliwnik Award and the Karen Haliuk Memorial Bursary.
