Arbitration hearing required to settle dispute
The Manitoba Teachers Society Association and the Pelly Trail School Division Negotiation Committee remain at impasse over the 1990 collective agreement. After a June 20 meeting with Conciliation Director Jim Davage no settlement was reached and arbitration will occur later, with about 10 or 11 items still in dispute. Salaries were near but secondary to working conditions, now all items, including noon hour supervision and extra curricular activities, return to the table.
