Manitoba Land Titles Fee Structure Changes Announced
The Manitoba Property Registry Office will streamline and cut more than 17 items from the Land Titles tariff while modestly increasing some fees to remain revenue neutral. New fees raise caveats and discharges from 40 to 41 and transfers and mortgages from 69 to 70, certify all copies at a flat 10, and add a no extra cost confirmatory search and automatic title search after registration. The changes take effect August 25 and were announced in the 2008 provincial budget.
