Manitoba proposes civil remedy to curb revenge porn and sexting
A new provincial act would allow victims to sue for damages in civil court and pursue out of court resolutions for nonconsensual intimate image distribution. It includes educational resources for schools and parents, and establishes CCP as first contact through the Cybertip.ca program to assist victims with image removal and coordination with police.
