Marion Boucher obituary reflects a life of service and teaching

Marion Boucher a former teacher and community leader passed away at Russell Hospital on June 24 2009. Born June 29 1941 at Sprucedale she taught 37 years at Crosby Plumas and Binscarth and served on the Binscarth Town Council UCW and United Church Council. She married Wilfred in 1968 and left a family of Braden Dallas and grandchildren Keane and Andrew. Donations to Cancer Care Manitoba or Binsearth Community Centre.

Remembering Sonny Yoon a self made family man in Canada

In loving memory of Sonny Yoon also known as Quen Shiu Chuen of Langenburg who died May 28 2010 after a long battle with heart disease Born in Foshan China on September 6 1935 he was the sixth of seven boys and two girls Orphaned young he worked to support siblings He and his wife Leung Yuk Kwan Debbie raised four children in Hong Kong and later emigrated to Canada in 1969 settling in Winnipeg Then they ran the New Star Restaurant in Langenburg and bought Sideman's dry goods store renamed D and D Clothing and Footwear His long labor and thrift built a successful business and aided relatives emigrating to Canada He is remembered for his dedication and family focus Funeral was June 5 2010 at Christ Lutheran Church Langenburg Interment at Langenburg Cemetery Memorials may go to the Palliative Care Room or Church Memorial Fund Braendle Bru1 ce Funeral Service Russell handled arrangements.
